Exploring Explorers is designed to be an enriched fifth grade social unit for all students. The two categories of Explorers make it ideal for five/six combination classes.

• Student with special literacy needs will require extra support from peers, aides, volunteers, etc.
• Beginning word processing and saving/importing images into a document are necessary.
• The "Explorers from the Age of Discovery" section can be used as an introductory activity to net surfing and using a scanner or digital camera.
