The Task

Mr. B.G. is a man unaccustomed to losing. He plans to produce a nonfiction magazine called Teen Scene. He wants a small, inexpensive magazine that will reach the widest teenage audience. The magazine will be sold in shopping malls and grocery stores, but he also plans to sell it at big events like the X-Games and rock concerts.

To assure his nonfiction magazine will be appealing to young adults, he is sponsoring a contest in schools throughout the country. Each school entering the contest must research what nonfiction teens might be interested in reading and to produce some potential articles for his new venture in a magazine format.
