Robey sits in the pilot’s seat checking the controls. These controls are every bit as complicated as those of an airplane. In fact, the hand grips at the ends of arm rests are those of a jet fighter. Here, they are used to control the movements of the manipulator arms. The system is so delicate that a skilled pilot can pick up a pencil with the manipulators and draw a picture.
