  6. The siphonophore is not a single animal, but a colony of many. Each individual has a duty to perform to keep the complete organism going, what are these different duties? Why do you suppose each organism has specialized tasks?





  7. If you were an animal in the midwater zone, what would you do to keep safe? What types of defenses would you use? Think about how the animals you have seen have kept from being eaten?





  8. Create a story about one of the animals you have seen? Tell about its daily routines (i.e. what does it eat, where does it sleep, etc.). Remember all these animals live in the midwater zone.
