This Sea Studios photographic and audio presentation was adapted for the World Wide Web in the Summer of 1996 by Dan McDowell, a graduate assistant to the Educational Technology Department at SDSU for the Triton Project, a Challenge Grant funded by the U. S. Department of Education. Translation of the presentation and accompanying materials were done by Mary Jewell. The accompanying classroom activities were developed by Dan McDowell.

People have always looked for new frontiers to venture into, to explore the unknown. Despite years of research, many aspects of the ocean remain a mystery. This photograhic and audio presentation explores the part of the ocean has been overlooked by many scientists over the year. This presentation comes complete with classroom activities for both the elementary and middle class levels, and is in both English and Spanish.
