Mrs. Poland, a teacher at Roosevelt Middle School, captured video and still photos of cells. She was able to capture video of cilia moving on the cells and Protists and Bacteria in real time. Her purpose for doing this was to be able to help students make sense of the information they had learned after the lab and to be able to relate further learning back to the visual data that she had collected. As many students at Roosevelt Middle are English Language Learners, she strives to capture as much visual information as possible to help the students to learn the content.
